Lets begin!
1. Open a new image 500 x 500. Floodfill with white.
2. With your foreground colour on a dark colour from your tube, background null, draw out a circle on your canvas.
Line width – 12. Solid line.
Objects – Align – Center in canvas.
Convert to Raster layer.
3. Click inside the circle with your magic wand.
Selections – Expand – 3.
Layers – New Raster Layer.
Floodfill with a different colour that matches your tube.
Layers – Arrange – Move Down.
Keep selected.
Effects – Two Moon – FadeSpot – default settings.
Selections – Select None. Rename this layer FadeSpot as we’ll be working with it later.
4. Draw out another circle slightly bigger than the first one.
Foreground same colour as the first circle, background null.
Line width – 3. I chose Dash – Dot.
Once happy with your size, Objects – Align – Center in canvas.
Convert to Raster Layer.
Duplicate this layer and resize. I resized by 80% bicubic, but yours may be different.
I then changed the blend mode to ‘Screen’.
At this stage I gave drop shadows to my circles.
5. Add your tube and give it a drop shadow.
6. I added a mask to the background at this stage, but you could add brushes!
7. If you like your tags smaller, resize at this stage [lol] making sure ‘Resize all layers’ is checked.
8. Add your name and the artist copyrights and we’re ready to animate!
