Lets begin!
1. Open a new image 600×600. Floodfill with white.
Choose a colour from your tube.
Using your preset shape tool, draw out a heart.
Objects – Align – Center in canvas.
Convert to Raster Later.
Duplicate this layer.
Image – Mirror.
Place it so the two hearts meet.
2. Using a lighter colour from your tube [or darker, depending which colour you chose originally] draw out a small circle using your preset shape tool.
Objects – Align – Center in canvas.
You can apply a slight drop shadow if you wish to, but this is up to you.
Effects – MuRa’s Meister Copies with the following settings:
3. Make your double heart layer the active layer.
Selections – Select All.
Selections – Float.
Selections – Defloat.
Selections – Invert.
Make your circle layer the active layer and hit the delete key on your keyboard.
Selections – Select None.
4. Merge the heart and circle layers together.
You can apply a blend mode if you like to the circle layer or reduce the opacity if you think it’s too much.
5. Duplicate your heart layer.
On the bottom heart layer
Adjust – Blur – Gaussian Blur – 15.
Effects – Penta.com – Color Dot with the following settings
6. Give your main heart [the top one] a drop shadow of choice.
Add your ribbons and/or embellishments.
Add your doodles.
7. Make the bottom layer active.
Layers – New Raster Layer.
Floodfill with a colour from your tube or a scrap paper.
Apply your mask. I lowered the opacity to 70 on this layer.
8. Add your tube. Give it a drop shadow of choice.
9. Write out your name in a font of choice.
To get the effect on mine, I did my name twice using 2 colours, one darker than the other.
I placed the darker one underneath, but so you could just see it slightly.
It gave the effect of a drop shadow.
10. Add the artist copyrights and your taggers mark and you’re done!
